For the FAR part of the program, Raymond Merriman will cover the following points, based on the "MMA Studies" sub-directory in the Galactic Trader program. It is under the directory titled "PLANETS," on the opening screen of the Galactic Trader.
When you open "MMA Studies," you get a list of further sub-directories, based on the research methods used by Raymond Merriman, or on applications of actual research results using these methods.
The first directory is called "Gold Reversals." It lists all the Level 1, 2, and 3 geocosmic signatures, as reported in Ray's first financial book, titled: "The Gold Book: Geocosmic Correlations to Gold Price Cycles," published in 1982. There have been very few and minor changes to that original research, which will be covered in this software program.
The next directory is called "Stock Reversals." This is the newest feature to the FAR programs, and is an application of the Level 1, 2, and 3 signatures for the DJIA and S&P Indices. These are based on the results reported in Ray's latest work, titled: "The Ultimate Book on Stock Market Timing, Volume 3: Geocosmic Correlations to Trading Cycles," published in August 2001. These are the basis for determining "critical reversal dates," as reported in The MMA Cycles Report.
The next directory is called "MMA Ingress." This lists, in chronological order, all the planetary ingresses (other than the Moon). Merriman finds this useful if they occur near to a Critical Reversal Date. If so, these ingresses may give an idea as to how long the trend (turn) will last.
Next is the directory called "MMA Silver." This is another timing application directory. It provides list of days that have a correspondence to highs, no highs, lows, or no lows in the Silver market, based on Ray's first solar-lunar studies reported in "The Sun, Moon, and Silver Market: Secrets of a Silver Trader," published in 1992.
The next directory is called "MMA NYSE." It simply lists all the dates in which transiting planets make major aspects to the natal planets in the chart of the New York Stock Exchange. Sometimes these dates can be helpful, like when transiting Mars crosses over one of the two "zones" that aspect 70% of the planets NYSE chart.
The next directory is called " MMA Bonds." It simply provides a chronological listing of dates when transiting planets aspect natal planets in the chart of the Federal Reserve Board. This can be helpful in ascertaining the ease or restrictiveness of the FRB. It helps to time important tops or bottoms in the T-Bond and T-Note markets.
The next directory is called MMA Research. This is probably the most important directory for application to market timing and trading purposes. It is here that the user learns to identify critical reversal dates. This directory will print out, or show on screen, a chronological listing of any and all of the above studies - separately or in combination with one another (like Stocks Reversals and Ingresses, which Merriman finds extremely important in determining market turning points).
The next directory is called "Filtered Waves." It is arguably the most important directory in FAR in terms of research value. Here one can identify a percentage reversal criteria for turns in the market. The program can identify those days when such turns commence, and astrologically identify any patterns or combinations that stand out with a significant number of those turn dates. If you can identify these patterns through this part of the program, you can "set it" in the Galactic Trader part, to determine when they come up again. This will tell you what has actually worked in the past, rather than reliance upon what "should have worked," given accepted astrological principles. Astrology does work - patterns do emerge which consistently correlate to market movements. But it is not what you might want to think. Not all New and Full Moons are created equally! This part of the program will demonstrate that truth, and greatly help you to become excellent market timers.
The next feature is called "Own Research." Assume you have an idea of something that might work in the markets. You go into your price chart, click the bar of that day, and it drops into our research database. When you are done identifying these dates you think are important, the FAR program analyzes those dates astrologically. You can then see if certain combinations stand out. You can compare your results with a baseline of all dates encompassed in your study, to make sure there are no obvious abnormalities that would bias the results.
The next feature is called "Volatility." This identifies those dates in which the market moved 'x%' between high and low of the day. You set the criteria for volatility. Say you want to do a study on all days in which a market had a big range day of at least 2% of its high, low or close. Knowing which days are likely to be "big range days" can help you identify days that might be profitable day trading back and forth.
The final feature is called "Baseline." This program simply analyzes all the trading days in the range of your studies conducted in either 1) Filtered Waves, 2) Own Research, or 3) Volatility studies. It allows one to see if there are certain geocosmic irregularities that might account for the results in the studies. It gives a count of how many times each planet was in each sign, and in aspect to each other planet, during the period of your study.
All of these features will be covered and illustrated. Explanations will be made as to why they are useful to traders, and how to use them in making trading decisions.
